We just completed our fourth annual Clickin’ Moms’ Scavenger Hunt, and, as always, we had a fantastic time doing it! This is CM’s 5th year of hosting it, and I am a little bummed that I didn’t participate the first year as it’d be so cool to know we’d been there since the beginning, but […]

They are great, and I really liked seeing the ones you took after we left. I’m glad I had a chance to participate and even take a picture of you in your winter jacket on the beach!ReplyCancel

Our assignment this month was to “think outside the box”: to find a location we wouldn’t ordinarily think of to shoot in, and figure out how to make it pretty. I was excited about it, because location scouting around here has long been on my to-do list! But alas, it will have to remain on […]

Lovely, as always! Great use of a small space! I agree- the blue in her eyes- you have a great knack for pulling out color in your subjects.ReplyCancel

What gorgeous images from one small corner of your yard. I love the way the waterfall looks behind Emily. You have inspired me to try it with our fountain!ReplyCancel

This month was fun, because Emily and I found this beautiful black lace at a fabric shop a while back, and I have been wanting to figure out what to do with it. We were also practicing with her hair for her middle school graduation ceremony, and to match her vintage-looking dress she wanted a […]

I showed this to my kids and they said that next time they want me to shoot them through a big thick towel….you are so lucky to have such a cute, patient and willing model! Your idea of shooting through the lace is really cool and you always surprise me with your creativity. Hope your daughter had a wonderful graduation!ReplyCancel

I’ve  decided that for this blog circle, I am going to try to get out my Lensbaby for at least a few shots most times I get out my camera. It means that my images for these posts will often be somewhat visually disjointed, but it will be lots more practice, which is my ultimate […]

Remember this little guy, from my first real newborn shoot? Well, he’s a toddler now—and a darned adorable one at that! And his “big” brother is a preschooler! Time flies… I got to play with them on Friday evening at the park. Little Mr. D had such a crush on Emily, too—so cute! His very […]

Not from high school, of course, but from middle school! She graduated with high honors, and we are so proud of her! On her last day, I greeted her with graduation streamers on the front door—she was so excited! I adore the dress, shoes, shoes, and hairstyle she chose for the big event: She was […]

    Congratulations Em!

I has been a pleasure to teach you two years ago, but more importantly, I am lucky to have a friend like you, Jessica, and Tom. Although I will miss seeing you on campus everyday, I do wish you the best of luck in your pursuit toward your next accomplishment, High School graduation. I am sure you will approach your studies with aggressiveness. Yes, there will be anxiety but you will continue to grow as a student and how you handle the pressure. I am confident that you will do well and that that you will handle the anxiety with grace and dignity. Thank you for being a great student. Sixth grade was fun. Softball was very positive experience and I do hope you wear your sweatshirt with pride. Thank you for letting me teach you a volleyball. Thank you for “pushing” the button for the morning announcements. Thank you for going to the Stanford Football game with me and your parents. The game was good but going on the field after a excellent finish was GREAT!!! Thank you for relying on my when you needed someone to help you. I was glad to do it.

    Thank you.

    Merci.

Thank you for allowing me to become apart of your life. May your family and mine continue to grow as friends.

Have an Amazing yet Restful Summer and Good Luck in High School. Thank you for the positive memories.ReplyCancel
