Project 12 Portraits | Faceless Portraits

In our Project 12 blog circle this month, we focused on creating a portrait that didn’t include a face. I think a portrait should demonstrate “who a person is” in some way; it should show a facet of their personality. And since Emily started high school this fall and has her first-ever locker, I decided to focus on that. She personalized it, made it hers–got the required binders in some of her favorite bright, cheery colors, collected cute baskets and magnets to hold her stuff, and chose photos of treasured memories with some of her favorite people (and yes, her Dad and I feel lucky and honored to still earn a coveted spot!), and printed still more photos that she took herself with her ever-growing photography skills (of which I am SO proud)! She ended up with a lower locker that’s definitely less convenient, but at the same time the lower ones are twice as tall as the rest, so she even had room for shelves. She is so excited!

Lockers! Our kids don’t have lockers in our schools. What fun they are missing! I love these of her getting her locker all fixed up. Love the picture of her and her dad!ReplyCancel

I love these! How many kids have pics of their super fun lockers? I totally remember mine and the time I spent decorating it. It was completely the reason I was late to all my classes. Love these, as always. Great memories!ReplyCancel
