Endeavor’s Last Flight…

Today was exciting—we got to witness history being made… Emily had the day off of school, so we made the short, early morning trek out to Moffett Field to watch the very last flight of the Space Shuttle Endeavor. We parked a ways away and walked into Moffett to meet up with some friends. The flight was delayed due to fog in Sacramento, so the wait was longer than anticipated, but the crowd was excited so even the wait wasn’t dull! The sky cooperated with wispy white clouds, and at about 10:30 our wait was rewarded with the breathtaking fly-over. It was humbling to be there, and I am grateful for the experience!

It’s sad to think this era is over, but I hope it won’t be over forever…
