11 from ’11!

I’ve been seeing photographers posting their very favorites from 2011, and I love that idea because I love being able to see what an artist selects as the images that truly make THEIR hearts sing. So to close out my first calendar year of having a blog, I wanted to give it a try as well!

So, here are my favorite images from 2011:

This next one isn’t technically a great photo (although using a DSLR and holding it at arm’s length to do a self-portrait isn’t easy, so from that respect it’s not half bad–that thing is HEAVY to hold backwards and still get the shutter pressed while back-button-focusing!). But Em insisted I add it, as it’s HER favorite from the year (and I admit, it makes my heart happy too)!

And last but not least, a list of my favorites from the year wouldn’t be complete without including my favorite that Emily took this year. I just love that she shares my passion (though admittedly she’s not as obsessed as I am!). I am so very proud of her–I really think she has a good eye for composition already!

(Next year might be a LITTLE easier–I get to do 12 from ’12!!!!)
